It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Fields of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, born in Shannon, North Carolina, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Fields and Edna McDuffie Fields; and his siblings, Gordon, James, Roy Fields, Lessie Kinlaw and Elsie Smith.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Willis Fields; his children, Michael Fields (Lauren) of Virginia, Richard Fields (Patricia) of St. Pauls and Nancy Baker of Benson; his grandchildren, Suzanne Lozoya (Eddie) of Raleigh, Micah Fields of Orlando, Monica Fields of Winston-Salem, Anna Fields Hopkins (Hunter) of Newport News, VA and Aaron Fields of Newport News, VA; and his great grandchild Hayes Lozoya.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Smith-Fields Endowed Scholarship at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
