It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Glennis Faye Devine of Saint Pauls, North Carolina, who passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Glennis is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her husband George Thomas Devine; her parents, Barlie McNeill and Annie Ruth Bullard; her sons, Paul Strickland and Luke Strickland; and her sisters, Regina Hunt and Judy Locklear.
She is survived by: her brother James McNeill; and her children, William R. Strickland, Michael Strickland (Kathy) of Lumberton, Denise Wilcox (Ray) of St. Pauls and Pamela Chavis (Dwayne) of Shannon. She is also survived by two granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, four nephews, five nieces; and a host of family and friends.
