She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Pilgreen and Mary Pilgreen Landry; her husband William "Will" Brooks Townsend Jr.; her stepfather Sid Landry; and her brothers, Luther "Ed" Pilgreen, Glenn "Mickey" Pilgreen (Priscilla) and James "Dick" Pilgreen.
She is survived by: her children, William B Townsend III (Missy) of Vass, NC, Glenn F Townsend (Renae) of St. Pauls, NC and Melody Oakley of Vass, NC.; her grandchildren, Cynthia McMorrow, Jenny McMorrow, Jessica Townsend, Mary Townsend, Amber Townsend, Brianna Townsend (Larry "LJ" King), Joshua and Zackary Townsend; her brother Joe Pilgreen; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Pilgreen and Louise Rising; and her grandchildren, Ethan James, Elizabeth Grace "Lizzy" and Emily Brooks McMorrow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
