He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Manness and Mary Seville Manness; and his brother Mark Manness. He is survived by: his daughter Briggs Manness (Greg Hudgens) of Rutherfordton; his former wife Lori Tipton of Tryon; his granddaughter Ariana Crews; and his siblings, Dr. Wayne Manness (Melissa) of Bloomington and Doreen Manness of Atlantic City.
