He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dewey and Bessie Buchanan Dickerson; his wife Audrey Tuck Dickerson; his siblings, Charles "Charlie" Dickerson and Louise Pleasant; his brother-in-law James Pleasant; his sons-in-law, Ed Oakley and Ray Lowery; and his grandsons-in-law, John Cook and Jamie Bruckmann.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Lowery Adcock (Ron), Marsha Oakley and Bruce Dickerson (Toni); his grandchildren, Stephanie Cook, Wendy Woodall (Mike), Carol Bruckmann-Gatlin (Steve), Karen Pope, Jennifer Prevatte (Britt), Jonathan Dickerson (Jazma) and Phillip Dickerson (Lex); his great grandchildren, Steven Mangum, Taylor, Kylie Pope, Gavin Cook, Walker Woodall, Caitlyn, Elijah, Robbie, Samantha, Aurora Bruckmann, Ty, Tiana and Taliyah Gatlin; his grandson Bryson Dickerson; his brothers, John Dickerson (Sandra), Leon Dickerson (Paula) and Richard Dickerson (Carol); and his sister-in-law Ruth Dickerson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
