She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry Thomas and Alma Duncan Welch (late James Milton Hicks); her son Larry Hicks; and her siblings, Victor Welch, Waylon Welch, Mammie Cash, Margaret Welch, Mary Ann Price, Selba Mangum and Melba O'Briant.
She is survived by: her son Anthony Todd Hicks (Cathy) of Roxboro; her daughter-in-law Lisa Hicks of Roxboro; and her granddaughters, Brittany Hicks (Thomas Trail), Sheena Lunsford (Lemmie), Jessica Davis (Anthony), Ashley Long (Carey) and Erin Hicks (Lila). She is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren.
