She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Glenn Franklin Strole and Inez Grace Wilkes Strole; her spouses, Evander C. Arnette and George Matthews; her siblings, Edward Strole, Phillip Strole and Jean Holland; her children, Gail A. McCann (Mark McCann) of Waxhaw, Charles Arnette (Paulette), Helen A. Waddell (Larry) of Fair Bluff and Glenn Arnette (Terri) of Raleigh; her sisters-in-law, Glenda Strole of Laurinburg, Miriam Potter and Syble Morales of Baltimore, Maryland; her grandchildren, Michele Stadler (William, Dr), Christopher McCann (Vanessa, Toni Bologna), Nicole Shelly (Matt, Gretchen Baker), Jamie Rooks, Courtney Waddell and Evan Arnette (Lindsey, Brennen Arnette); and her stepgrandchildren, Katie Clair Hoffmann, Frankie Matthews and George Matthews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Piney Forest Baptist Church.
