He was predeceased by: his parents, John David and Daisy Lewis Etheridge; and his brother John David Jr. (June). He is survived by: his wife Ginny; his sons, Sam Etheridge of Montgomery, AL and Paul Windley (Diana); his grandchildren, Savannah Jane of Winston-Salem, NC, Zeno of Winston-Salem, NC and Penelope of Winston-Salem, NC; his children, Sarah James (Adam) of Raleigh, NC and Will Etheridge (Rachel); his grandsons, William Martin of Durham, NC. and Jonah David of Durham, NC.; and his friends, James "Jimmy" Martin (Diane) of Greenville, NC, Everett Purvis of Hassel, NC and Irene Purvis Johnson of Hamilton, NC.. He is also survived by his grandchildren.
