She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Shelton and Pearline Moss Shelton. She is survived by: her husband Karlton Staton Sr.; her son Melvin McQueen of Charlotte, NC; her stepsons, Karlton Staton Jr. of Rocky Mount, NC and Jermaine Staton of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter Sonyette McQueen of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and her siblings, Eddie Shelton of Trenton, NJ, Karen Derrell of Charlotte, NC, Beatrice Houston of Charlotte, NC and Arentha Hasker of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
