She was predeceased by: her parents, James Beach and Naomi Beach; her husband Walter "Jack" E. Pittman; her siblings, Kermit Beach, James "Junior" Beach, Ollie Beach and Edna Whitley; and her son-in-law Bobby Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Pittman, Elaine Gouldin (John) of Wake Forest, Jackie Williams of Rocky Mount and Ellen Clay of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Kimberly Gouldin, Brian Williams (Amy) and Tiffany Timberlake (Bryon); and her great grandchildren, Hudson, Hayes and Hadley Timberlake. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
