He was predeceased by: his grandmother Margaret Daughtridge Barnes. He is survived by: his parents, Tiffany Mewborn Barnes of Rocky Mount and Luther Matthew Barnes, IV (Matt) of Greenville; his sister Mary "Allison" Barnes of Rocky Mount; his grandfathers, L. M. Barnes, III of Rocky Mount and Doug Mewborn of Greenville; his aunt Margaret "Meg" Barnes Cooke (Harry) of Greenville; his cousins, Ashley Cooke Eatmon (Cameron) and Will Cooke (Elizabeth) of Greenville; his pet Finley; and also Emerson of Greenville. He is also survived by great aunts, uncles, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Logan's memory to the Case Management Patient Care Fund at Duke University Health System for pediatric oncology patients.
