She was predeceased by: her parents, David Barnes and Norma Nelson Barnes; and her siblings, Karen Winston and David Winston. She is survived by: her husband Walter Shondell Johnson; her daughters, Jasmine Belquise Grimmage and Jacobi Cheyenne Grimmage; her siblings, Cheryl Doubledee (Clifford) of Daytona Beach, FL, Gerald Winston (Shirley) of Wilson, NC, Lisa Walker of Poincianna, FL and Eric Barnes (Amy Christian) of Columbus, OH; and her niece Erin Lewis. She is also survived by daughters, a special friend and an amazing sister and daughter.
