It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blarnie Thomas Tanner Jr. (Rocky Mount, North Carolina), who passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Blarnie Thomas Tanner, Sr. and Mittie Jeffery Tanner. He is survived by: his wife Olivia Hammond Tanner; his children, Blarnie Thomas Tanner III (Molly) and Lucy Tanner Brewer Womble (Stewart); his siblings, William Larry Tanner and Vicki Tanner Penick (Chip); and his grandchildren, Riley Olivia Tanner, Carson Otto Tanner, Benjamin Hammond Brewer and Henry DeWitt Brewer. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many good friends.
