With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Lee Dix (Rocky Mount, North Carolina), born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Nellie Eula Willis; his former wife Carolyn Copeland; and also, Connie Fay and Roger Ray.

He is survived by: his wife Rachel Thompson; his daughters, Suzanne and Krissie Spitcaufsky (Cory); his grandchildren, Carter Day, Gigi Day, Evan Spitcaufsky, Eli Spitcaufsky and Sydney Spitcaufsky; his siblings, Barbara, Patsy, Dexter David and Douglas Wilson; and his friend Dick Edmondson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Alter Guild, 301 S Circle Dr, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
