He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rowland Rutherford King and Alta Pulliam King; his great-grandparent Corporal Wheeler Rufus Watson of Strong; his stepmother Helen Hatch King; his wife Marilyn Bailiff King; his sons, David Stuart King (Deborah) of San Jose, CA and Richard Rowland King (Kristy) of Rockwell, NC; his grandchildren, Brittni King Neu of San Jose, CA, Tyler King of San Francisco, Taylor Renee King and Jordan Rowland King of Rockwell, NC.; his great grandchild Chloe; and his brothers, John Watson King (Kay) of Scotts Valley, CA and Robert Leslie King (Linda) of Petaluma, CA..
He had underlying conditions which included Dementia, but Covid 19 took his life.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Fund C of the St. Luke's Episcopal Church Foundation which is designated for Christian Outreach in North Carolina with emphasis on Salisbury and Rowan County.
