He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Hudson Sams; his children, Gindy Sams Womack (Willie) of Augusta, GA, Chad Sams (Stephanie) of Spencer, NC, Tammy Holshouser (Tim) of Gold Hill, NC and Bobby Jenkins (Joann) of Albemarle, NC; his sister Pamela Sams Ward of Salisbury, NC; and his great grandchild Levi Robson. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
