It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hester Baucom of Rockwell, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Thomas Helms and Minnie Medlin Helms; and her daughter Loretta Dean. She is survived by: her husband Jim Baucom of Rockwell, NC; her daughter Kathy Dorton of Harrisburg, NC; her grandchildren, Angie Drye, Crystal Cochrane, Jamie Benfield, Chris Rivers and Jonathan Dorton; and her great grandchildren, Johnny Munson, Michael Munson, Paige Cochrane, Jackson Cochrane, Jessica Benfield and Elleah Benfield.
