He was predeceased by: his father Walter Curlee; his wife Martha "Jean" Hurst Curlee; his former wife Cora Eldreth Curlee; his son Bobby Lee Curlee; his brother Billy Wayne Curlee; and his great grandchildren, Allison Shulenburger and Calesha Curlee.
He is survived by: his children, Ricky Lynn Curlee (Donette) of Rockwell and Lisa Curlee Jackson (Eddie) of Mooresville; his sister Shirley Benton (Rudolph) of Pageland, SC; and his grandchildren, Tressa Wiedenmann (Paul), Tonya Harrington (Daniel), Heath Curlee, Keisha Honeycutt (Greg), Misty Sarvis (Chad), Samuel Wiggins, April Jackson (Garrett) and Kevin Jackson (Beth). He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
