She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gibson, Sr. of Scotland and Helen Haggart Gibson of Scotland; and her siblings, George Gibson (Zelia), Helen "Nell" Gibson Robertson (Ben), Agnes Gibson Holler, Charles "Charlie" Gibson, Jr. (Naomi), John "Jack" Gibson (Evelyn), Doris Gibson Pethel (Norman) and Robert "Leo" Gibson (Janie).
She is survived by: her nephew Charles Roy Pethel; her nephew Dennis Pethel (Nancy) of Kannapolis; her nieces, Becky Williams (Tim) of Faith and Cathy Lyerly (Mike) of Rockwell; and also Kinsley Banks Moody. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
