She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Brown and Betty Shuping Brown; her husband Leo Van Basinger; and her siblings, Larry Brown and Joanne Brown.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jimmy Brown (Denene) of Rockwell, NC and Judy Parker (Marlin) of Lexington; her nieces and nephews, Michael Brown of Spencer, Zeke Brown, Jana Shoaf (Joe), Jennifer Brown of Spencer and Tina Stevenson (Blake) of Winston Salem; her great-niece Norah; and her siblings-in-law, Cleo Haynes, Herman and Coy Basinger.
