She was predeceased by: her parents, Zeb L. Bost and Agnes Smith Bost; her husband John L. Brown; and her daughter Joyce Diane Brown Peeler. She is survived by: her sons, Johnny M. Brown of Rockwell and Lloyd G. Brown (Debby Moose Brown) of Lexington; her son-in-law Jeff Peeler of Granite Quarry; her brothers, Zeb Bost of Gold Hill and Wayne Bost of Salisbury; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Brown, Shanna Brown, Heather Peeler, Daniel Peeler, Sybil Brown and Chance Brown. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
