It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Patrick Joyner of Rockingham, North Carolina, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Patrick and Martha Jane Smith Patrick; and her brother Mack Patrick. She is survived by: her husband Sammy Marshall Joyner, Jr.; her children, Marshall G. Joyner (Tammy), Angela Joyner Jeffrey (Jed) and Cathy Joyner Lemon (Richard); her grandchildren, Kylie Joyner, Hannah Henley, Isabella Lemon, Jake Jeffrey and Kaleigh Jeffrey; and her siblings, George Patrick and Linda Lee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
