He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius McKinley and Evie Bryant Robbins; and his brother Hillard Knight. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Robbins; his children, Brenda Robbins of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Buck Robbins (Pam) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his grandchildren, Jen Watford (Brad) of Holly Springs, NC and Kenny Robbins; his great grandchildren, Reed Watford, Luke Watford, Jorden Barnes, Ryilon Barnes, Kenleigh Robbins and MaKenna Robbins; and his friends, Marguerite Sawyer and Henry Travis.
