It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Cecil Brown Sr. (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), who passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elmer and Margaret Lambert Brown; and his siblings, Kenneth Brown, Alton Brown and Betty L. Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Betty S. Brown; his children, Teresa Asbell (Tim) of Roanoke Rapids, Richard Brown, Jr. of Halifax, Kay Worley (Tim) of Clayton and Kim Stroud of Halifax; his grandchildren, Jami Landen, Matthew Brown, Erin Ezzell, Jessica Slangal, Patrick Brown, Ali Worley, Koty Davis, Sarah Worley and Halie Pike; his brother Donald Brown (Fredia) of Chesapeak, VA; his cousin Becky Phillips (Mike); and his pet Macy. He is also survived by his fifteen great-grandchildren.
