It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Wrenn Smith of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, born in Greenville, Virginia, who passed away on September 10, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Percy M. Wrenn; her sister Judy Wrenn Daughtrey; and her grandson Ashley Jody Smith (Pearl). She is survived by: her husband Ashley Lee Smith; her children, Penny Wrenn Powell (Daphne) of Emporia, Shay Smith (Shawn) of Roanoke Rapids and Dale Smith (Jan) of Salisbury; her sister Nancy Wrenn Powell of Brink, Virginia; her granddaughter Elizabeth Leigh Taylor (Andy); her great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Landyn, Alleigh Taylor and Gavin Smith; her sister-in-law Ann Smith Edwards; her daughter-in-law Kim Dickens; her granddaughter-in-law Amy Tharrington; her caregiver Betty Frazier; and her pet Elvis. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
