It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Hedgepeth Ball (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Isaac Levi Hedgepeth; her husband Christopher Wadsworth Ball; and her siblings, Bealuah H. Dickens, Dorothy H. Matthews, Lois H. Hux, Lathan, Roger, Ray, John and Rupert Hedgepeth.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Peggy Lee Hedgepeth; her children, Deborah Ann Ball Williams (Dale) of New Bern, NC, Susan Ball Madden of Stevensville, MD, Cynthia Ball Cole (Greg) of New Bern, NC, Craig Alan Ball (Elizabeth) of Elizabethtown, PA and Chris Anthony Ball (Jody) of Gambrills, MD; and her siblings, Peggy Bishop (Ed) of Bahama, NC and Mike Hedgepeth (Starlette) of Halifax, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Center Baptist.
