It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Edward Jones Sr. of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Tommie Jones, Sr. and Doris Ann Scott Jones; his brothers, Cecil Tommie Jones, Jr. and Joseph Anthony Jones; his grandson Edward Louis McWilliams, III; and his niece Venyetta Jones Hawkins.
He is survived by: his children, Katrina McWilliams (Edward), Mori Jones and Jimmy Jones, Jr.; his grandchildren, Edward McWilliams, III, Kayla Williams, Corey Fleming, Jimmy Jones, III and Destinee Hardy; his siblings, Willie "Buck" Scott (Sheila), Jannie Jones Parker (Timothy), Vita Jones Bynum (Felix), Alicia P. Harding and Latasha Webb (Travis); his sister-in-law Michelle G. Jones; his aunts and uncles, Linda Kay Sneed (Jonas), Mary Jessie Daniel, Ruby Gerald (Leviska), Virginia Goodwin, Catherine Scott (Celestine Jones), Ray Scott (Nancy), Carl Scott (Queen), Michael Scott, Wiley Jones, Robert Jones (Carolyn), Levi Jones (Clarine) and Frazier Hawkins, Jr.; his fiancée LaWanda Webb; and his close friend Johnny Reed. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
