He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence O'Neal Bishop and Audrey Slater Bishop; his daughter Amanda Gail Brown; and his brothers, Kenny and Larry.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian S. Bishop; his son Jim Bishop, Jr.; his grandchildren, Zach Grisson, Daniel Spadaccia, Allison Brown, Seth Bishop and Bailey Grissom; and his siblings, Jeff, Renda, Laurie and Linda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
