We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2022, at the age of 89, Fred Gatewood Ward Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred G. Ward, Sr. and Grace Carlton Ward; his wife Frances Bryant Ward; and his children, Deborah W. Le and Alfred Scott Ward.
He is survived by: his son Steven Lee Ward (Doris Reid); and his grandchildren, Steven Ward, Jenifer Capps, Carrie Bost, Stephanie Lynch, Amanda Isbell and Will Ward. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and friends.
The family suggests contributions to Smith United Methodist Church, 1215 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870 for those wishing to give in Fred's memory.
