He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Clements and Hattie Taylor Clements; his daughter Cindy Pitsenbarger; and his brothers, Richard, Tom, Carter Neal and Nat Clements.

He is survived by: his wife Derenda Tripp Clements; his children, Michael Clements (Sheri), Scott Vick (Amy), Susan Wilhelm (Jeff) and Lori Jones (Russell); his sister Betty Rose Byars; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
