It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Hale (Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina), born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood Hale, Sr. and Mary Hazel Thomas Hale; her daughter Mary Ellen Tucker; and her brother Ronald Lee Hale. She is survived by: her brother Linwood Hale, Jr. (Bonnie); her sons, Johnny Tucker (Christina) and Mike Perry; her grandson J. J. Tucker; and her nephews, Wayne Hale (Deb) and Tommy Hale.
