He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Truman and Mattie Everette McCollum; his siblings, Yvette McCollum, Betty McCollum Laube and Robert LeVan McCollum; and his daughter Sarah Rebekah McCollum-Webster.
He is survived by: his cousins, Mike Hall and Demetra Rankin; his close friend Darryl Dunagan; his wife Elaine Via McCollum; his daughters, Laurie E. McCollum, Lela E. McCollum-Lewis (Paige) and Robin Lenore McCollum; his grandchildren, India Elaine, Charles Truman Tisdale, Claire-Grace, Sophie, Lucy Eliza Lewis, John Everette (Kate), Ethan Webster and Ronin Lawrence Monroe McCollum; his sister Mary Ann McCollum; and his brother-in-law Homer Laube.
