He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Nimmons and Blondell Nimmons of Savannah, GA; and his in-laws, Johnnie and Ruth Russell. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Russell Nimmons; his children, Jonathan "Jack" Nimmons of Reidsville and Ruthie Nimmons of Sioux Falls, SD.; and his siblings, Lieutenant Colonel Bonnita Wilson (US Army Retired) of San Antonio, TX, Karen Nimmons of Savannah, GA, Shaphonia Deloach of Estill, SC and John Grant of Dallas, TX.. He is also survived by brother-in-law leaving behind many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
