He is survived by: his wife Carol McDaniel Shelton; his children, Samuel Isaac Shelton (Pam), Jonathan Eugene Shelton (Nicole) of Reidsville and Kendra Ann Camacho of Eden; and his sister Emma Ann Mosley of Martinsville, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
