He is survived by: his wife Maxine Dixon; his children, Dr. Donna Fargis Helton (David Lee Helton) of Danville, VA, James Michael Fargis, Jr. of Reidsville and Joel Clark Fargis (Karla Vernon Fargis) of Reidsville; his granddaughter Gwendolyn Hope Fargis; and his children, Michelle Helton Jarecki (Sean), Rebecca O'Brian Schroeder (Ethan), Caroline Martin Haga (Trevor), Aubrey Stewart O'Brian, Kristen Martin Chaney (Dillon), Kendell Marie Martin (Trent Draughn) of Reidsville and Clifford Lee Helton.
