She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Kennedy and Rosa Russell Kennedy; her husband Jack Peterson; her daughter Lisa Poole; and her siblings, Nellie Barber, Doris Carroll, Esther Danley, Marvin Kennedy and Rufus Kennedy.

She is survived by: her children, Kathy McCoy (Charles) of Randleman, NC, Ronald Poole (Debbie) of Cheraw, SC., Greg Poole (Holly) of Cheraw, SC. and Barry Poole (Amy) of Cheraw, SC.; her grandchildren, Brittany Martin (Honda), Brad McCoy (Cody), Bryson Curl of Randleman, NC, Andy Poole (Anna), Chloe Poole (Rob) of Cheraw, SC, Ryan Poole (Melanie) of Denver and Eric Poole of Columbia, SC; her great grandchildren, Crawford Poole, Colton Curl, Daxton Martin, Reed McCoy and Tatum Cribb; and her pet Marla.
