With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Sparrow Thomas of Pittsboro, North Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Sparrow and Frances Meacham Sparrow; her husband Charles Thomas; her children, Natalie Andrews Miller of Pittsboro, Holly Thomas of Pittsboro and Charles "Chuck" Thomas, Jr. (Brandy) of Moncure; her siblings, David Sparrow of Pittsboro and Carol Sparrow of Pittsboro; and her grandchildren, Alexis Thomas and Charles "Charlie" Thomas III.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Ruth's memory to UNC Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. You may make a donation pledge via our website.
