We are sad to announce that on August 5, 2022, at the age of 98, Irene Cooper Hackney of Pittsboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Cooper and Lillie Smith Cooper; her son Kenneth Hackney; and her brothers, Lonnie Cooper, Lloyd Cooper and James Cooper.
She is survived by: her spouse Eva Hackney, Jr.; her daughters, Barbara McMasters (Joe) and Linda Glosson; her grandchildren, Gina Thompson (Shawn), Allison McMasters, Candice Griffin (Cody) and Joshua Glosson; and her great grandchild Trey Thompson.
