She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward N. Brooks and Jewel Justice Brooks; her husband Earl Thomas; and her brothers, Donald Brooks, Tommie Brooks and David Brooks.
She is survived by: her children, Eddie Thomas (Jo Ann) of Pittsboro, Scott Thomas (Donna) of Pittsboro, Jeff Thomas (Sheri Haney) of Greer and Joette Springle (Jim) of Pittsboro; her sister Trudy Sturdivant of Pittsboro; and her close friend Audrey Parker.
