He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee and Ellen Kerns Sampson; his sisters, Glenda Oxendine and Diane Campbell; and his nephews, Evan Lloyd Graham and Jaimie Leroy Oxendine.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly S. Hunt of Pembroke, NC and Robert Earl Sampson II; his granddaughters, Jaylan Hunt, Ryleigh Hunt and Kyndall Hunt; his siblings, Herlon Sampson (Roger), Brenda Jones (Earl), Lori "Cookie" Locklear, Pamela Graham (David) and Roy Lee Sampson Jr. (Tammy) of Laurinburg, NC; and his caregivers, Karen and Crystal Kerns. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
The family welcomes flowers or a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Robert Earl Sampson.
