It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Heather Gertrude Smith of Pembroke, North Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2022, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Belton Smith and Jennifer Oxendine Smith; her siblings, Colon Lee Oxendine and Diane Smith; and her mother-in-law Carol Jane Brewer Hunt.
She is survived by: her husband James Hunt; her children, Justin Ray Hunt, James Ray Hunt Jr., Dana Carol Hunt and Destiny Jewel Hunt; her siblings, Leroy Savage Smith, Carla Faye Smith and LeAnn Oxendine; her grandchildren, Addyson Marie Hunt, Halana Elisia Locklear, Takoma Ray Hammonds, Keilon Ray Donaldson and Neziah Grason Ray Hunt; her father-in-law Herman Hunt; and her siblings-in-law, Eric Hunt, Derrick Hunt, Herman Lee Jones Jr. (Ginger) and Carolyn Brewer Jacobs.
