He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bascom Phifer and Emma Austin Phifer; and his wife Nadine. He is survived by: his sons, Charles Phifer, Dennis Phifer (Becky) and Carlton Phifer (Kristi); his grandchildren, Amanda, Leanna Phifer, Hunter, Dylan Phifer and Rylan Phifer; and his sister Diane Tucker (Conrad).
