He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sanders Long; his children, Derek Long (Sonya) of New Market, Ala, Angela Long of Ash, Lori Ann Summerlin (Jonathan) and Bonnie Mathis (Aaron) of Horseshoe, NC; his brother Gary Long (Kathy); his grandchildren, Bradly Reaves, Christy Lamb (Matt), Ashley Kay Duncan, Bobby Long, II (Morgan), Taylor Griffin (Samuel), Hunter Long (Emilee) and Tanner Mathis; and his great grandchildren, Brylee Lamb and Tripp Long.
Memorials may be directed to Brunswick Community College Scholarship Foundation, Old Shallotte Baptist Church Building Fund, or Gideon's International.
