He is survived by: his parent Alice Louise Lee Smith; his wife Linda Sue Cranford Smith of Oakboro; his sons, Christopher Alan Smith of Oakboro, Todd Cranford Smith (Amanda) of Albemarle and Eric Michael Smith of Oakboro; his siblings, Donald Joe Smith, David Allen Smith, Sr. and Judy Smith Poplin; and his grandchildren, Jonathan Smith of Albemarle, Nicholas Smith of Albemarle and Charlie Smith of Albemarle.
