It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margieree Helms (Oakboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 19, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Elwood and Minnie Hough Elwood; her stepson Roy Lee Helms, Jr.; and her sisters, Emma Haynes, Mary Allman, Dessie Earley, Lela Scarboro and Irene Lowder.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Huneycutt; her stepson Jody Helms (Sara); her grandchildren, Emily McCallum (Nathan) and Tyler Huneycutt; her great grandchildren, Avery McCallum, Autumn Rector, Mallory, Landon Helms, Cooper, Paityn Roark, Melina, Joey and Addy Hranek; and her brothers, Ebb Elwood, Floyd Elwood, Roy Elwood, Melvin Elwood, Clyde Elwood, Claude Elwood, Bill Elwood, Ira Elwood (Doc) and Wilson Hough.
