He was predeceased by: his former wives, Ruthie Mae Eury Talbert and Ruby Gardner Talbert; his half-siblings, Luella Walters, Ruth Currie, Kathryn Harper and Willie Morton; and his son-in-law Sidney Yost.
He is survived by: his children, David Talbert (Sonia), Lee Talbert (Dianne) and Margaret Yost; his sister Lucille Kapps; and his half-sisters, Connie Whitt and Mary Holland. He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
