She was predeceased by: her husband James Morton, Jr.; and her siblings, Virginia Furr, Lucille Crowell, Claude Poplin, Jr. and James Poplin.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Morton (Gail) of Oakboro, NC and Susan (Jay); her grandsons, Ryan Morton Of and Gregory Morton of Oakboro, NC; and her siblings, JoAnn Whitley of Oakboro and Jerry Poplin of Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
