It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jean Drye of Oakboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee Taylor and Eva Belle Watts Taylor; her husband Keith Furr Drye; and her brothers, Robert Lee Taylor, Jr. and George Kenneth Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Williams (Mike) of Albemarle, Teresa Curry (Tom) of Oakboro and Douglas Drye (Tammy) of Oakboro; her grandchildren, Melissa Parrish (Don) of Albemarle, Samantha Smith (Destiny) of Oakboro, Bradley Smith of Oakboro, Jonathan Stover of Peachland and Jessie Stover of Lylesville; her sister-in-law Beatrice Goodman; and her pets, Bo and Garfield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
