He is survived by: his wife Rita Whitley Simpson; his daughters, Johnda Simpson Noble (Marty) of Albemarle and Tonya Simpson Hollis (Michael) of Norwood; his brother Ervin Simpson (Betty) of Norwood; and his grandchildren, Jillian Noble, Alan Michael Hollis, Landon Hollis and Kiersten Hollis.
