Jo McSwain Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jo McSwain of Norwood, North Carolina, who passed away on February 25, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Bennett and Laura Bell Spivey Thompson; and her sisters, Nancy Miller and Dot Morton. She is survived by: her husband James Vernon McSwain; her children, Jim McSwain (Jennifer) and Joy Swaringen (Chris) of Norwood; her grandson Jarrod Swaringen of Norwood; and her siblings, Bennett Thompson (Tanya), David Thompson (Patsy) of Norwood, Sylvia Arey (Harold) of Albemarle, Judy Lee (Rodney) of Norwood and Sue Holt (Roy) of Oakboro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
